Memorials

Memorials is an immersive, self-generative painting installation. It unfolds as a system that does not depend on the viewer, yet continuously incorporates their presence. The work invites a quiet and attentive mode of viewing, allowing the external world to gradually recede. Within this process, the presence of the viewer is subtly absorbed and inscribed into the drawing.

The work emerges from a contemplative introspection of the surrounding world: whether we are present, briefly present, or absent altogether, it continues to exist and unfold in its own way. What remains is not intention, but trace.
