StarPic

StarPic is a modular lighting system inspired by the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau. It draws from the rare experience of leaving the city behind and encountering a night sky filled with raw, primal beauty—an experience that leaves a lasting emotional imprint.

Through extensive experimentation and hands-on making, this atmosphere is translated into a system of simple yet versatile configurations, bringing a distant and almost unreachable experience into our immediate surroundings. With its soft, restrained glow, the work evokes a quiet sense of closeness to the stars beyond the reach of urban light. It invites viewers to engage from different perspectives, revealing shifting spatial and visual relationships.

The system can take multiple forms and holds potential for further expansion, ranging from wall-mounted compositions to suspended lighting installations.
